Helping Incarcerated Women: The Story of Project Hope Center
From supporting former inmates to creating luxury candles, Project Hope Center began by addressing the most pressing needs of men and women released from prison. We expanded our efforts with programs like Almost Home, which provides support to incarcerated women. In 2019, we started making hand-poured soy candles at Project Hope House for women. Our candles are made with 100% soy wax and high-quality fragrance oils. The success of our candles led us to open a brick and mortar store in 2019 Folsom, CA.
Non-profit organization Project Hope Center was founded by Executive Director Mrs Braidman who was inspired by her own experiences and volunteer work as a chaplain in Sacramento County Jail and the Folsom Women's Facility. The center was established to aid incarcerated women in finding a stable living environment before their release from prison.
Introducing Project Hope Center: A South Carolina Initiative Seeking Funding
Since 2022, we have been focused on leading bible studies in Greenville County Detention Center dorm 2B South Carolina every Monday evening. We also provide entry services by appointment on Friday afternoons. However, our long-term goal is to establish a Project Hope Center – a facility that offers free counseling, day programs such as crafting and gardening, and conferences for women and home for women when released including a garden and worshop. We believe that this center will make a significant impact in the community. If you're interested in supporting our mission, please contact us for funding opportunities or GIVE here.
